Overview

Borderlessify is a desktop utility for Windows. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Website

The Borderlessify website does not require an account to browse. We do not set tracking cookies by default. If analytics are enabled, they are aggregated and do not include anything that identifies you personally.

Supporter accounts

When you create a Supporter account we collect the email address you provide, a password (stored only as a modern, salted hash), and basic session information so we can keep you signed in and limit misuse.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe shares only the minimum information with us, such as your subscription status, so we can provide Supporter features.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and protect the service: authenticating your Supporter account, syncing subscription status to the app, preventing abuse, and improving reliability.

Cookies and local storage

The website uses local storage for settings such as your cookie preference. The desktop app stores its settings and profiles locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded automatically.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted processors needed to run the service (such as Stripe for payments and the hosting provider), subject to appropriate safeguards and only as necessary.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us; we will action it promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise any of these, contact us at borderlessify@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
